Club Overview
Killarney Golf and Fishing Club is one of the UK & Ireland's leading golf resorts offering guests 45 glorious championship golf holes designed by 3 of the world's most renowned golf architects. Its location in the heart of South West Ireland's stunning countryside, the course is an oasis of tranquillity featuring numerous lakes and maybe one of the most beautiful places in the world to play golf.
The club boasts 2 Championship length courses and a 9 hole and hosted the Irish open 6 times (4 Mens Irish Opens and 2 Ladies Irish Opens) since being founded in 1893.
Killarney Golf & Fishing club began using GolfClubSubs to manage all of their membership renewals and payments in 2019.
Issues Faced By The Club:
The club had not updated their membership management systems for a number of years.
It was using numerous platforms to assist its members but these systems were all different and not linked to a centralised system, meaning they all contained different information.
The club relied on an old paper based direct debit module or people simply visiting the club to pay their annual subscriptions in-person.
The level of administration time spent renewing members was a burden due to having to maintain multiple systems, spreadsheets and sending out and receiving paper forms.
The Solution
The GolfClubSubs system was implemented at the end of 2020 and led to a digital transformation of the club.
The ‘time to pay’ KPI was dramatically reduced from months to days and the number of members paying by monthly installment was halved, leading to a much better cash position for the club at the start of the year.
Members that were slow to renew were surfaced immediately and automatically reminded to make payment leading to a greatly increased speed of sign-up and a more detailed oversight of who needed to be chased.
The number of members that owed the club money was also controlled and reduced by the GolfClubSubs system.
Members were automatically pushed into the handicapping system and tee-sheet leading to a greatly reduced admin workload and removal of the need to manually cross match databases.
